  10. nicodemus says:

The Arabian moon god is still represented by the crescent moon symbol and ‘moon rock’ in the Kaaba.

Muslims who kiss the moon rock commit idolatry.

  11. First of all there is no such thing as an Arabian Moon God… if that were true you would see people out praying when its a full moon hahaha!! Such rubbish thinking on your part and also its a lack of knowledge. I do believe that my article posted covers all points well enough. Any open minded person can understand what is written correctly. However, people who have colored glasses on will never see except through the color of the glasses. The pieces of stone embedded as the cornerstone of the Kaaba are not from the moon rather a meteorite. Lastly, many ignorant (meaning not having the knowledge of something) may think that Muslims worship the Kaaba itself, let alone the black stone, which yes people do kiss. If any person kisses that stone with hopes of any benefit or blessing, yes they are committing what is called shirk, or associating something or someone with GOD. This goes against every grain of what Islam stands for, which is MONOTHEISM!! Belief in ONE GOD. NO partners, sons, daughters….

Just because human beings do something does not mean that this is what the religion TEACHES. Please make a difference between human behavior which can be in error, and the teachings of Islam which are true, simple and pure.
    The Quran says:

“O you who believe, intoxicants, and gambling, and stone idols, and the games of chance are abominations of the devil; you shall avoid them, that you may succeed” 5:90

All throughout the Quran God commands believers to stay away from stone and alters, for they have no power to benefit or harm any one. The story of Abraham and the stone idols of his people is a clear reminder of this issue. The Quran informs us that Abraham destroyed all the stone that his people were worshipping and said:

“Do you then worship beside God what possesses no power to benefit you or harm you?” 21:66

    Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 26, Number 667:

    Narrated ‘Abis bin Rabia:

‘Umar came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said “No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah’s Apostle kissing you I would not have kissed you”

    Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 26, Number 673

This Hadith clearly points out that the stone is merely a piece of rock.
